When being strong becomes exhausting we look for answers to figure out why our strength isn’t enough. Why it seems no matter what we try it doesn’t work. To finally find the answers to these moments where all it feels like you can do is cope rather than heal. This is where survival stops being enough and you are looking for meaning. That’s where we step in together; and oh my name of course would be Mike.
My experience that has shaped who I am is a blend of my past and present coming together. With close to a decade working in mental health it all started in what grounded me when I sat across from people who were silently struggling as an acute mental health nurse when it all came unraveling out before them. Which moved me deeply and guided me to the path I took to obtain my Masters of Arts in Counselling Psychology as a Registered Psychotherapist. My work is a blending of what the person in front of me brings into therapy and to help them through the hard things they have had to hold alone into a space where we can hold it together. And through this space is informed by ACT and IFS. The main body of my work is emotional processing and trauma processing through modalities like EFT, DBT, and CPT. I have a keen interest in working with trauma, grief, addiction and BPD.
I work with individuals 12+ navigating trauma, grief, anxiety, depression, neurodivergency, and addiction. Through these different moments that creates wounds these stories start to overlap into different areas of our lives and we find ourselves lost. When we find ourselves lost that’s where trust has to come in and when we start it’s about building that genuine foundation of trust that everything else is built on as we walk together.

More About Me
Finding ways to challenge myself and grow is a big part of me both personally and professionally. And through that growth one of the biggest things I have learned is the value of looking for possibilities rather than definites.
With seasons changing and my family growing, health and wellness have become an integral part of me. Whether it is getting a workout in at the gym or spending quality time with my family outside, the key is to create that balance. Some of those days the gym doesn’t happen and that’s okay because that’s human. Moving through these different moments when a little extra downtime comes up I love messing around on my guitar to unwind.
