Hi, I’m Mikayla (she/her), a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) in Barrie, ON. I hold a master’s degree in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University as well as a master’s degree in School & Applied Child Psychology from Western University. I have extensive experience supporting children, youth, families, and young adults across Ontario.
I take a non-judgemental, laid-back, but direct approach to therapy. I am passionate about showing up authentically and providing a safe space where you are free to do the same. With me, you can always show up just as you are – however that looks – and say the things you can’t say anywhere else.
Therapy isn’t one-size-fits-all, and I believe that you are the expert of your life. Together, we’ll explore practical tools and real strategies to help you build self-awareness, manage stress, gain new perspectives, and feel more in control of your emotions in order to make real change.
I focus on providing an integrative, neurodivergence-affirming, and trauma-informed approach drawing on both evidence-based and lived experiences to support children & adolescents, adults, parents, families, neurodivergence (e.g., ADHD, ASD), anxiety, depression, life stress & burnout, interpersonal relationships, communication, and self-regulation.

More About Me
Outside of therapy, you can find me taking long walks through the thrift store, drinking far too much coffee, or starting another new hobby or project (that I may or may not ever finish). I also love spending time in nature, camping, hiking, and paddle boarding with my family. When I’m not outdoors or chasing around a wild toddler, I enjoy snuggling up on the couch with a good book and one of our (many) pets.
