Hi, I’m Megan (she/her). I am a Registered Psychotherapist in Barrie with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Queen’s University and a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University. I have extensive experience supporting youth (6+), young adults, parents and caregivers in all parenting roles, prenatal and postpartum included.

I have a cordial and calming disposition that fuels a nonjudgmental curiosity about human behaviour and the unique experiences that shape each person. I firmly believe that everyone is doing the best they can with the tools they have, and that adverse behaviours often reflect underlying distress, unmet needs, or a disconnection from our authentic selves.

My practice has a special focus on supporting neurodivergent children, youth, and adults, as well as individuals navigating grief and loss, behavioural and emotional dysregulation, anxiety, and challenges with self-confidence and self-esteem. Whether you’re a parent trying to better understand your child, a young person struggling with overwhelming emotions, or an adult working to reconnect with yourself after becoming
a parent, I strive to provide a space where you feel understood, supported, and empowered.

I offer safe, responsive, and compassionate care so you can feel genuinely heard while gaining the insight and practical strategies needed to move forward. Together, we’ll explore every angle of what you’re experiencing—your thoughts, emotions, relationships, nervous system, and environment—to better understand what is keeping you stuck. I will help you identify your current coping strategies, understand why they may no longer be serving you, and develop new approaches that create meaningful and lasting change.

My therapeutic style is warm, collaborative, and holistic. I draw primarily from Emotion Focused Therapy, Attachment-Based Therapy, Somatic Psychotherapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). I also integrate Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), and mindfulness-based approaches, tailoring each session to your unique strengths, goals, and needs.

Reaching out for support can feel overwhelming, but you don’t have to navigate this season alone. I offer a free 15-minute consultation where we can talk about your concerns, answer your questions, and determine whether we’re a good fit. I would be honoured to walk alongside you as you move toward greater understanding, confidence, and connection.

Outside of my practice, I love spending time with my husband and our two young children. You’ll often find us exploring parks and trails, visiting local farms, or enjoying the outdoors together.

At home, I enjoy getting active on my yoga mat, diving into a good book, tackling a puzzle, and spending time in the kitchen baking healthier versions of our favourite treats that my kids may or may not actually eat—but I enjoy making them anyway.
